Tolcylen: Usage, Precautions And Side Effects

Tolcylen is an antifungal medicine whose active ingredient is tolnaftate and is used to treat certain fungi (also known as Dermatophytes and mold fungi) that infect the skin.

Thanks to the active ingredient, the growth of fungi is prevented. At higher active ingredient concentrations, fungi are killed directly. This effect is thought to occur through damage to the so-called cell wall, an external damage to the fungi.

Application Areas:

  • Fungal infections with dermatophytes (Filamentous fungi), e.g. skin ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal infections in body folds, palm ringworm, foot ringworm.

Various agents can cause a disease. Only a doctor can determine whether the medicine is effective against the existing infection.
